18th century
Very fine cotton shawl made from two lengths of cloth sewn together. It is embroidered with individual motifs of flowers vases of flowers (tulips lilies carnations daisies) and leaves as well as birds (swans? peacocks) butterflies lions and dogs all worked in a thick white yarn.
