Back side shows consistent long floats of a single dark thread per pattern repeat. Unclear if this is a technical error or an accepted result of the design.

Factory woven cloth (twill weave). Bands with herringbone twill are double faced pushing dark threads completely to the back. Checkered areas is an irregular twill weave with areas of longer floats where dark threads do pop up.
